Properties and Taste: Sweet and cold
Meridian: Large intestine and small intestine
Functions: To promote urination and regulate abnormal urination
To promote lactation
To moisten intestines and move feces
Indications and Combinations: 1.     Dysuria and edema.
*Use with Poria (Fu ling) and White Atractylodes (Bai zhu).

2.  Scanty urine with blood and painful urination.
*Use with Plantain seed (Che qian zi), Lygodium spore (Hai jin sha) and Talc 
(Hua shi).

3.   Obstructed lactation and breast distention.
*Use with Amomum fruit (Sha ren) and Ricepaper pith (Tong cao).

4.      Constipation.
*Use with herbs that moisten intestines and move feces, such as Chinese angelica root (Dang gui), Peach seed (Tao ren) and Arboritae seed (Bai zi ren).
Dosage: 9-15 g
