Part Used & Method for Pharmaceutical Preparations: The leaves are gathered all year round. They are cleaned, dried in the sun and cut into small pieces.
Properties and Taste: Bitter or sweet and slightly cold
Meridian: Lung and urinary bladder
Functions: To promote water metabolism and regulate abnormal urination.
Indications and Combinations: Damp-heat in the urinary bladder manifested as dysuria, painful urination, hot urine, urinary tract stones, blood in urine, turbid urine, urgency of micturition and frequent urination.
*Use with Talc (Huashi), Lygodium spores (Haijinsha) and Plantain seed (Cheqianzi).
Dosage: 5-10 g
