Information:
|
Yunnan Paiyao is a valuable medicine for first aid. Its primary
application is acute traumatic bleeding, where the powder is applied
directly to the cut. The product is antibacterial as well as
homeostatic. Cuts heal quickly with even a single application, and with
a butterfly bandage it can help seal smaller wounds that might otherwise
require stitches. In various clinical studies, it has shown to reduce
clotting time by 33% to 55%.
The
powder form is more appropriate for topical application in traumatic
bleeding, while the capsules are meant to be taken internally. It is
used for traumatic swelling or bruising, or for other blood disorders
including thrombocytopenic purpura and leukemia. It is also used to
inhibit internal bleeding due to trauma, surgery or cerebral hemorrhage.

Indications: |
Powder:
Apply topically as
an emergency or first aid medicine to stop bleeding in traumatic wounds,
and to prevent infection. Use internally for swelling and bruising due
to acute trauma, postpartum hemorrhage, nosebleed, blood in urine or
stool, bleeding ulcer, and menorrhagia. Also to treat and prevent postpartum
blood stasis. Capsules:
Use internally for swelling, bruising or bleeding in acute trauma. Also
blood in urine or stool, bleeding ulcer, and menorrhagia. Also used for
wind-damp Bi syndromes (arthritis and rheumatism), and promoting
circulation in the muscles. Also for amenorrhea, cirrhosis of the liver,
dysmenorrhea, hypermenorrhea, tuberculosis, and to reduce swelling in
sore throat. |

Internally:
For adults, taken orally, 0.25g-0.50g each time, 4 times a day.
Do
not exceed 0.5g once every four hours. In cases of bleeding, mix with
water and drink. In cases of swelling without bleeding, mix with
wine.
Children
age 2 to 5 years, 0.03g each time. Children over 5 years, 0.06g each
time.
Externally:
Apply directly to bleeding wound (clean first, and bandage afterwards).
In deep or wide wounds, squeeze cut together, pour powder on, and apply
pressure or keep closed for 1 to 2 minutes, or until bleeding has
stopped. |
