Huang Lien Shang Qing Pian (Huang Lian Shang Ching Pian) - Indications include: Common cold, flu with symptoms of fever, headache, dizziness, tinnitus, mouth ulcers, swollen gums, sore throat, conjunctivitis, toothache, or constipation. Hypertension with symptoms of dizziness, headache, red eyes, flushed face associated with Wind-Heat syndrome. Tonsillitis, parotitis, otitis media, acute bronchitis, acute pneumonia, pulmonary abscess, and skin infections including sores, carbuncles, boils, all with heat signs.

Huang Lian Su Pian - Indications include: Intestinal infection and inflammation including dysentery, due to bacilli (rod-shaped bacteria) with symptoms of frequent bloody or watery stools, abdominal pain, vomiting, fever. Chronic amebic dysentery, carbuncles, sores on the skin with pus, conjunctivitis.

Lien Qiao Pai Tu Pian (Lian Chiao Bai Du Pian) - Indications include: Carbuncles where the skin is red, but not yet erupted, pain and/or pus is present. Skin infections or any kind of skin inflammation, including boils, Poison Ivy, eruption of skin, itchy skin caused by allergies, psoriasis, etc.

Smooth Bronchial(Qing Fei Yi Huo Pian) - Use for lung fire conditions producing sharp, barking cough, sore lungs, dry mouth, cough with excess thick phlegm, swollen, painful sore throat, including tonsillitis and pharyngitis, mouth or nose sore, toothache or boils, constipation due to Heat in the Large Intestine, bloody nose, swollen  or bleeding gums. Also for acute and chronic bronchitis, pulmonary abscess, and tuberculosis.

Niu Huang Jie Du Pian - Indications include: Headache, vertigo, sore throat, gastric fever, mouth pimples, tongue ulcers, dry throat, dry mouth, bleeding gums, acute ophthalmia, acute dysphasia, mumps, earache, toothache, children’s fever, anorexia, nausea. Also constipation caused by excess heat (not Deficient Yin type of constipation). Skin infections such as sores, carbuncles, boils.

Golden Seal Root Capsules (Hydrastis Canadensis) - Clearing away heat, drying dampness, purging fire and clearing away toxins. For diarrhea, dysentery, tenesmus. Acute febrile diseases with excessive fire and heat with symptoms of high fever, dyshphoria, unconsciousness, etc. Sores, carbuncles, furuncles, boils, canker sores in the mouth, skin infections, pruritus.
